Singapore
Surbana Jurong, Arup and Mott MacDonald have been selected as the Master Building Consultants to provide engineering design and management services for Changi Airport Terminal 5’s (T5) key structures, such as Main Terminal Building, Satellite Terminal Building, Ground Transportation Centre and Primary Landside Roadway. The new terminal will be seamlessly connected to the existing terminals through an 18km network of tunnels, facilitating efficient passenger and baggage movement.
Maldives
Surbana Jurong was initially appointed to improve the existing design plans for the terminal building, addressing capacity constraints and enhancing functionality. The role extended to advising the client during the execution stage,ensuring alignment with their vision and objectives. The team was subsequently retained to provide pre-construction management and contractual advisory services and overall project management during construction.
Kingdom of Saudia Arabia
Jeddah Airports Company (JEDCO) appointed SJ to provide Project Management Consultancy services for the airport facilities development plan. SJ will oversee over 100 CAPEX projects, valued at 3 billion SAR – with emphasis on passenger experience and efficient processing for the millions of pilgrims who travel through King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) each year during Hajj and Umrah. The planned infrastructure upgrades will increase the airports capacity from 29 million to 114 million passengers annually (MPA) by 2030.
Singapore
Surbana Jurong is involved in the expansion of Singapore's world-famous Changi Airport, aimed at boosting Singapore’s lure as a stopover point amid intensifying competition from other regional airports. Inspired by an orchid petal, Changi Airport Terminal 4 is a two-storey, 25-metre-high building with a gross floor area of 225,000 square metres. It is expected to increase the existing overall passenger capacity to about 82 million per year.
India
Surbana Jurong’s SJ Aviation team, along with SMEC and Robert Bird Group (RBG) – both members of the Surbana Jurong Group – are partnering with Tata Projects Ltd to deliver Detailed Design Consultancy Services for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) for Noida International Airport (NIA), located in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
Solomon Islands
The newly upgraded Munda airport is now fully capable of handling Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 aircraft, facilitating international flights and significantly enhancing the regional aviation sector. This transformation is part of the Solomon Islands Roads and Aviation Project (SIRAP), an initiative focused on improving aviation infrastructure and road networks in the region.
