Inland Rail Project
Australia
The construction of largest A$10 billion freight rail project in Australia, networked between Melbourne and Brisbane, spanning more than 1,700km and comprised of 13 individual projects over a 10-year delivery schedule.
Jabodebek LRT
Indonesia
The Jabodebek LRT was a complex project and a major milestone in Jakarta’s public transport modernisation. The project will improve the mobility of people in the Jakarta metropolitan area and reduce traffic congestion by an estimated 996,000 vehicles per day.
Etihad Rail – Packages 2B, 2C and 2D
United Arab Emirates
Etihad Rail Phase 2B, 2C and 2D combined consists of 455km of new railway including tunnels bridges cuttings and embankments. SJ’s role involved independent certification of 50 structures including box portal frames, precast beam and slab, box girders and concrete through-girders of various lengths and span configurations.
Bukit Panjang MRT
Singapore
In the future, it is to be integrated with the Bukit Panjang Bus Terminus, bringing together 3 modes of transportation in a Transit Oriented Development, with Hillion Mall, Junction 10 and Bukit Panjang Plaza adjacent to the station.
North South Commuter Rail
Manila, Philippines
The MCRP and NSRP railway network will benefit around 800,000 daily commuters and offer a convenient, reliable, safe and cheap alternative to commuting.
Travel time between the entire stretch from Calamba City south of Manila to Clark in Pampanga is expected to be reduced by about two hours.
Rapid Transit System Singapore-Malaysia
Singapore
The Singapore-Johor RTS Link is a mass rapid transit line conceived as a cross-border high-volume rapid transit system connecting Singapore and Johor Bahru, Malaysia. The RTS Link will cross the Straits of Johor via a 25m-high bridge, linking the Bukit Chagar Station in Johor Bahru to the underground Terminus Station in Singapore.
Mumbai Metro Line 6
Mumbai, India
This 15-kilometre fully elevated corridor features 13 elevated stations, beginning at Swami Samarth Nagar, Andheri, and ending at Vikhroli. Engaged by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (DMRC), SMEC is collaborating with MMSpa in a joint venture on this vital infrastructure project aimed at enhancing economic growth, addressing major traffic bottlenecks, and improving transport connectivity in Mumbai.
Crows Nest Station Design
Sydney, Australia
Crows Nest station is part of the Sydney Metro, Australia’s biggest public transport project which in 2024 will include 31 metro stations, revolutionising Sydney’s transport network. The project aims to enable the long-term growth of Sydney’s rail network, supporting improved travel times, reliability, and integration with other transport options including bus and cycling networks.

Sydney, Australia
The Sydney Metro Northwest delivered over 36km of new metro rail and a new generation of fully automated trains to meet the transport demands of Sydney’s rapidly growing communities in the Northwest.
